Peer Review Process

Steps in the Peer Review Process

Initial Screening
Upon submission, manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial office to ensure they meet the journal’s formatting guidelines and scope. Manuscripts that do not comply may be returned to the authors for revisions or rejected outright.

Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two or more independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and track record in the subject matter.
Review Period
Reviewers are given 1 – 2 months to evaluate the manuscript and provide constructive feedback.
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:
Accept: The manuscript meets the journal’s standards.

Minor Revision: The manuscript requires minor adjustments before acceptance.

Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial changes and re-evaluation.

Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope.
Revision and Re-Review
Authors are provided an opportunity to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers for further evaluation.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, in consultation with the editorial board, makes the final decision on the manuscript’s acceptance.
Publication Timeline
While JNFPC strives to ensure timely peer review and publication, the journal does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or specific peer review times. Authors will be iformed of the progress of their manuscripts at every stage.
